Classic Car Weekly Photo-shoot Request - Thu 08 Feb 18 18:08

I have received a request from Classic Car Weekly Magazine that has just published an editorial on the upcoming Nationals event. Any member wishing to offer their Corvette C1, C2 or C3 up for a photo-shoot please contact me on kmills6737 @ with photo of car and location.

Thanks for letting us know about the plans for CCCUK’s celebration for the 65th birthday at the Nationals event – the news has been covered in today’s issue of CCW

I was hoping though that you might be able to help me out with a feature I’m aiming to put together, again celebrating the anniversary and again plugging the Nationals event

I’m aiming to either get C1 versions of the six-pot and V8 to compare the pair OR an example from the first 3 generations of Corvette together, again to compare them

Does one option strike you as being more straight forward than the other?

Either way, I was hoping you’d approach CCCUK members’ on my behalf to see if they’d be interested in putting their cars forward for the feature, to be professionally photographed and featured in Classic Car Weekly

We’re based in Peterborough but are happy to travel – the key would be to have the owners all within striking distance of one another so we can pick a venue for the pro shoot close to them.

CCCUK Chairman position now filled - Thu 08 Dec 16 01:04

Dear CCCUK members,

I have informed your regional reps about and other important club information and it will also be published in Decembers Vette News shortly

As you are no doubt aware the club has been without a chairman since our last AGM. My fellow committee members have some good and varied skills, being collectively more than capable of administering the club without the essential need chairman but also realise most club members would expect this role to have been filled by now. However, with the difficulty experienced in getting volunteers for Chairman (and membership secretary) the committee have been concerned that any applicant for the role of chairman should have spent time on the committee and experienced with the workings of the club, committee and be known to club members, adding continuity to the chairman's role. Accordingly I was asked by the committee to take on the Chairman’s role with Mark Eaton our club secretary as deputy chairman. This position will carry through to our next AGM in June at the Nationals where (and along with all committee members) we stand down for the current club year, seek re-election and/or new committee members be voted-in for the following year.

I am looking forward to taking on the challenge and talking and meeting up with you all this coming year in addition to Vette News editorial duties. If you have any questions, suggestions and ideas about the club or want to assist the committee and regions please feel free to contact me.

2014 Corvette Nationals 28-29th June. - Sun 27 Oct 13 18:36

We are pleased to announce the 2014 Nationals will be held on 28th & 29th June 2014.
It will be held at Wood Green animal shelter near Huntingdon.

We plan on making it basically a day and half show starting around 12 noon on Saturday although you're welcome to arrive earlier to help set up.

There will be camping available from Friday night.

Because of the location it is perfect for families with lots to do as well as look at the cars.

It's early days yet and we still have loads to plan, more info will follow as we progress closer to the event.
