I saw the video, ummm, will have to hold my opinion until officially introduced.
I don't believe the ME is going to have the C8 generational tag. There will be a C8 generation front engine offering, at least that's what the rumors are........

Looking at previous GM marketing, logic (to me anyway) says that the risk of alienating many die hard Vette enthusiasts in the 'States with "some new fangled 'ass about face' thang with an engine in the wrong place" at what must be initially an elevated price makes little sense.
I would have thought that a 'mid engined' vehicle would be on a universal platform and (like the ZR1, ZO6 etc etc) will be a limited edition vehicle at a considerable premium initially to entice a newer and younger buyer - the one who would perhaps buy an Audi R8 or similar European exotica - and will gradually take over from the traditional front engine format after a year or two when manufacturing costs are amortised and reliability confirmed (just my view)

My money is still on it ending up a Cadillac! A lot of GM emphasis being put on the Caddy race program and a ME car would tie in with the current DPT cars. Could it even be made to fit in with the new FIA/ACO regs for 2020 prototypes??

But if it is a Chevy then I see it as an additional model, not the C8...
