The Ring footage seems to indicate it has very good grip and traction. Lets' hope the handling is up up there too.

Whilst this still has an element of "disguise", I do hope the final version looks better.....

I hear the hybrid version has a 200bhp electric motor driving the front wheels, and the IC motor driving the rear wheels.

It just looks like any other supercar now, totally distant from what the Corvette originally was, an affordable sports car like no other. I imagine the hybrid is for Europe and the East only.

Totally agree with the obvious 360 influence. Rather have an F-type, at least the engine is in the right place..

Still really hoping the mid-engine will just be a new model/variant and they’ll also facelift the C7 too? Yes the new motor will be the new halo/race car for GM but the Corvette brand could still keep its roots with a front engined ‘base car’? Too much to hope for? Other manufacturers all seem do it....

I'm with Simon on this - rear/mid engine platform potentially leaves room for A. RHD/LHD possibilities (no engine in the way). B. Room for frontal hybrid drive train/batteries. C. Both A and B
Like 'em or hate 'em hybrid drive trains are fantastic. The best of both worlds. Depending on how they are configured the hybrid drive will give you either a smooth, quiet, economical, low tax, low pollution vehicle - or - an even higher performance sports car that is potentially smooth, quiet, economical, low tax, low pollution......with a significant 'kick up the ass' from the electric motor when needed

Agree with Simon and Ross. Corvette just has to move with the times. There will still be plenty of choice for those that want to stay with a V8
