C3 wanted

As long as can remember I've always wanted a stingray. I'm approaching 50 and hopeing to be treating myself with a C3 for my birthday.

Re: C3 wanted

J Broom - a man after my own heart. I was in almost the same situation, except I just retired a few years after the Big 5-0 !
I took the plunge and looked around & ended up buying and importing my dream C3 from US, not as daunting as it sounds, Golden Chariots took the stress out of the transportation/importing etc side of things on my behalf.

Hi Jimbo
Thanks for that, just looked at there site, looks good. Did you find your car? Do you have to pay import duty on classics? Can I ask what the total approx cost would be.
Many thanks
Jon

Re: C3 wanted

Jon;
After looking all round the US, I found my car at a garage in Florida, got an independent inspection done, did a deal with garage (franchised place selling on behalf of owner) then got Golden Chariots to take over. You pay 5% import tax on the purchase price for a classic/historic vehicle & depending on how much you want shipping company to do for you (eg transportation from garage to port & the same once here) and where car being shipped from, you are looking around 2,000 on top of what your purchase price was, to get vehicle to UK.

Re: C3 wanted

Bit of an old post now, but I bought a Camaro Z28 from Oldcott Motors near Stoke, and they had 3 lovely looking C3s in the showroom.
