1982 Collectors Edition

Hi,
Any clues to what a 1982 collectors edition, 24 k miles, matching numbers
In mint original condition with fsh would be worth?
Thanks
Sam

Re: 1982 Collectors Edition

Very subjective with value, here's a few sites which may help. Looks like low to mid teens price-wise.

Re: 1982 Collectors Edition

Are you buying or selling?

Condition, originality and correctness are key with 82 CE Vettes. A lot of spoiled, or incomplete examples knocking around, poor interiors, missing paint/stripes etc... all tricky to replace. Plus, that Crossfire, which can be a lovely motor if un-molested, but terrible if someone has meddled with it!

A few very nice looking ones in Europe for sale, two with most (if not all) of the original paperwork and all present and correct as far as interiors, radios, motor etc and one with very low miles. But, up in the mid 20s to 35k Euros....

Re: 1982 Collectors Edition

OK. Probably a good starting point! I'd want all the paperwork (original documents, manuals, maybe the build sheet) plus all the keys etc for that money (in the UK at least) and for it to be clean underneath as well as on top. And make sure that everything works as it should of course, including cold starts etc on the Crossfire.... But I reckon that's not too hefty for a really good example, with a bit of negotiation! Smile

Re: 1982 Collectors Edition

Although I'm a C3 lover these don't float my boat

But reading your description and looking at the photo. anything between 20 and 25K looks a fair deal to me.

Someone's taken great care of it over the years Yes

That looks a fab example! Sounds like a good buy indeed.

Like Bill, I have reservations with the '82 CE cars, mainly due to the colour, but I have to say there are aspects of them that I love.

A great looking car - bet you'll notice a difference after a Z06! Smile
